In an advertising photography class, the brief asked to create a campaign using 5 photographs that told an emotional story and helped support a greater cause of our choosing. Given the flashback against cops in recent years, an exploration of cops’ encounters with skateboarders was needed.
Inspired by encounters of skaters with law enforcement, some having been personally experienced, the campaign was shot, edited, and designed to rouse those being impacted. The ads were to be displayed in places that skaters will see them, such as in local skate shops, on the streets, on Instagram, and even in skateparks.
